“Looking at death has taught me how to live” – Michael Hebb, founder of Death over Dinner

The ritual of breaking bread with others creates connections and is universal to all of humanity.  Throughout history, conversations held over the dinner table have led to some of the greatest artistic endeavors and political revolutions that have ever witnessed.

Death over Dinner started as a nonprofit organization in 2013 when its founders learned that in the United States of America, 75% of Americans wished to die at home but only 25% of Americans actually died there.  The realization then came that because most people do not feel comfortable speaking about death, there was no freedom in planning for death and sharing those plans with loved ones or their healthcare team.

Death over Dinner provides a safe space to explore your fears, thoughts and feelings about death and end-of-life care.  It is now a global movement with more than 100 000 events worldwide.  We look forward to having you join us over dinner.

“The Death over Dinner session I participated in was eye opening and really helped me as a professional look at death and dying through a personal perspective which aids me in helping humanizing the topic with my clients. Thank you Nancy and Julie for such a great evening!” Jennifer, Death over Dinner participant.
