Deborah Duncan-Randal

Deborah Duncan-Randal is Vice President, Regional Programs at Waypoint Centre for Mental Health Care in Penetanguishene, Ontario.
Until the recent hiring of an Executive Vice President, Clinical Services Ms. Duncan-Randal also provided leadership, consultation and advice in the professional development and nursing practice of the hospital nursing staff as Chief Nursing Executive.
From 1973 to 1987, Ms. Duncan-Randal moved from staff nurse to Quality Assurance and Patient Services Coordinator at Soldiers Memorial Hospital in Orillia, with experience as a head nurse and nursing unit manager along the way. From 1987 to 1999 she was Manager of Health and Professional Services at the Huronia Regional Centre.
As a consultant to the Ministry of Health and Community and Social Services, Ms. Duncan-Randal conducted system reviews at Hamilton Psychiatric Hospital, Thistletown Regional Centre, Syl Apps Treatment Centre, York Detention Centre, Valta Vocational Centre, Oxford Regional Centre and Midwestern Regional Centre. No stranger to multiple appointments, Ms. Duncan-Randal accepted the post of Assistant Administrator and Chief Nursing Officer at Hamilton Psychiatric Hospital in 1999. In 2001, Ms. Duncan-Randal was appointed Chief Nursing Officer at Waypoint.
As founder of Deborah L. Duncan Consultant Services, Ms. Duncan-Randal has conducted strategic visioning and planning sessions, program reviews and board development workshops with a number of organizations in the public and private sector. Ms. Duncan-Randal is a board member of North Simcoe Muskoka Hospice Palliative Care Network and provides volunteer training North Simcoe Victim Crisis Services (founding member and chair for six years).
Ms. Duncan-Randal is a registered nurse with Nursing Administration Certification.
